Going In

I'm really getting tired of defending and explaining myself about this name thing. By the end of this year, my name will mostly likely be Francis(legally). I dont get why....90% of people are hating on me for it. I have no problem with calling people what they want to be called, so why can't ya'll do that for me? Is that too much to ask? I have disliked my name for way too long and not have the guts to change it. Change Change Change. You guys didnt shit on Obama for wanting "change" so why are you shitting on me for it? "I just dont see you as a Francis" "I know you as Jordon" "No, I dont like you as a Francis" "Jordon's a good name for you" "I like Jordon". You see the problem with the shit people say to me? Its all bout what you feel, and not me. This is my shit, not you. If you like the name Jordon so much, name your kids that, name your pet that, change your name to it. All I asked was for people to call me a name I like and all I get is hate back. "Its tooo haaarrd" I dont see how hard that is, its easy. I know other people who have asked me to call them a certain name, and I had NO problem with it. As much as people want change you gotta shit on your friend's plea for his own personal change? I guess I gotta be on my Ali shit when he made a guy say his name by slapping the shit outa him. Nah, just kidding. But I guess I will have to be as adamant about it as he was and how Malcolm was. Yeah they changed there names mostly because of religious reasons and beliefs but they changed it nonetheless. Bob Dylan's real name isnt Bob Dylan. Woody Allen's real name isnt Woody Allen. I'm not even gonna get into the whole celeb acceptance over normal people shit. I'm just real tired of it, and I feel like maybe....5 people either understand me or just dont care and call me it anyway. I know alot more people than 5. Let me say this....... I...DON'T.....GIVE....A....FUCK IF YOU LIKE THE NAME OR NOT. If I do shit for you and make exceptions for you, you're doing the same for me... PERIOD.

140 and some time, and you wont know a Jordon anymore. One.

Ike and Tina?

I told Rose I wasnt gonna write about it, but I was in my screen writing class and we watched a documentary on domestic violence so I felt obliged haha. Originally, I stayed away because the story is so out of wack. Like mad rumors such as std's and cop chases and shit, but the real story is domestic violence. I mean if Rihanna cheated then damn that sucks, and some guys I've talked to and even girls have said that they would have done something to their spouse if it happened to them. Of course this was said in a half serious half comedic sense, so I laughed, but after watching that documentary, getting beat on by your spouse is no laughing matter. Chris didnt have to do that shit, I mean he coulda hit a wall or something but not a female. Thats not cool. I'm sure he wouldnt want his mom gettin socked up. Chris' image is tarnished from now on. It'll probably get swept under the rug to keep the tabloids moving but no one will forget about it. I dont care what happens to him really. I mean, little dude can dance, but thats about it haha. As far as Rihanna.....she's hot, but I hope she didnt mess him up too(if you know what I'm sayin)

Music pick of the Week: J DILLA

I have said so much about Dilla over the years. I dont think I have felt anybody's influence on my music and how I look at music as much as him. I say alot about Danger Mouse being my inspiration but He and Dilla were my first when I started making beats. I mean Dilla just got music. From sampling, to drums, to vibes, to bass, to rapping, and singing, and just everything. He is the greatest hip hop producer of all time. And he could produce anyone too. I always say to ppl I know, I wish he was still alive so he could do the next Feist album or do a Jaylib 2 or do somebody's shit.I've been sad over other celeb deaths but not even close as I was when Dilla died. I mean I bought Donuts right before I went on a cruise. Its a 31 track instrumental album Dilla made right before he died. I listened to that and his album with Madlib(Jaylib) for a whole week. Thats all I listened to. He was already one of my top 5 fav producers but I just fell in love with his music even more. So like a lot of ppl on this earth, Dilla meant a lot to me. I didnt know him or nothing, but when someone inspires you to do something and makes you better at you what you do, you're going to feel that death. I chose to do the music pick of the week today because he died on this very day three years ago. Here's some footage of his main ppl he worked with before he died. First is his Detroit ppl and the next is his Los Angeles ppl. STILL FEELIN DILLA

Hope for the Best

The 51st or whatever Grammy's are on tonight and no, I will not be watching it. Haven't watched em since the Dixie Chicks beat out Gnarls Barkley for album of the year. Kanye keeps getting robbed(even Bono from U2 knew it) and the list of nominees is just....poor. If the Grammy's are like the top award show for music, why the hell are they sooo late when it comes to nominating albums? Its 2009 and Lupe Fiasco's The Cool, Jay-Z's American Gangster are nominated for best rap album. They came out in 2007. Radiohead's In Rainbows(best album of 2007. I messed up by giving it to Graduation) is nominated for album of the year....in 2009..... Very dumb.

Oh and lets not forget about the two most anticipated albums of the year which happened to be the two hugest let downs. Tha(not the) Carter 3 and Viva La Vida. Both nominated for album of the year. WHY? I'm gonna say this. Wayne is a decent rapper. He is by no means the best alive, and he never will be. The Carter 3 was wack. And as soon as he go white america's attention, he gets 8 grammy nods. Very dumb. Viva la Vida was by far the worst Coldplay record out of all 4. BY FAR. They shouldn't even be nominated.

But like always, I will hope for the best. Danger Mouse is nominated for producer of the year which he should get seeing as 2 of his 3 albums he produced in 2008 were in magazines top 50 albums. I dont get why the Black Keys were in there instead of Gnarls Barkley. Not to mention, Beck's Modern Guilt and The Odd Couple by Gnarls Barkley are both nominated for Alternative album of the year. So if Danger Mouse doenst get it then I'm moving to Norway. haha. not really.GO DANGER MOUSE!!!

Obsessed

A little bird whispered in my ear about this movie after they had seen the preview while watching He's Just Not That Into You(which i need to see, no homo) And I was like oh wow, that seems interesting. I mean, yes, it has that Fatal Attraction thing to it like some office relationships we've probably read about in books or saw in other movies but the race element is here now. I told my friend its going to be all bad for white girls who like black men and vice versa after this movie comes out haha. It is sad though. I'm not a hater of the movie but it may stir up some shit for mixed couples of the black and white amongst people who see it which sucks. My boy Idris Alba is in it so thats a plus. Beyonce......a minus. I'll probably go see it though. haha.
