She and Him Vol. 2 Review
C
Is it vol. 2 or vol. 1.5? that's what I kept asking myself the 3 or 4 times I listened to this album. For me, I always thought sequels for albums or films were supposed to have at least some differences compared to the first. As for She and Him vol. 2 I guess the only difference would be that it's less pop than the first, and there are hardly any catchy songs besides their version of the classic "I'm Over You" Song:Getting Along Without You Now. And if you're the type to pay attention to every little detail(me) the drums are less fierce on this album which makes it almost boring to listen to, but most of you probably wouldn't care about that lol. I would have to say this album has no stand outs,no surprises, I didn't jump out of my seat or text Jerry saying "fam, you hear that new She and Him?".So if you dug the first album, you may or may not like this album. It's really a toss up. As for me, I could have used a little bit more from them, I mean M. Ward is an amazing musician and Zooey can write some good songs but oh well. Would I tell you to buy this? Yes and No. Yes, because the art work is really nice to look at and No because it's really not worth it.
