MPW:BEIRUT

I've probably mentioned something about a certain time last year when Jerry and I were seriously not feeling hip hop and our musical horizons broaden even wider. Well, one of the bands, if not THE band that pushed us over the edge and out of the relm of hip hop music(for a time) was Beirut. Now, of course Jerry put me on to them because he was like IN LOVE with them haha. And like always, I fell in love too. To give a little history about the band and the lead man of the band Zach Condon, I will have to go off the top of the dome. Condon taught himself guitar or learned it. either way he knew how to play. He hurt himself somehow and the injury prevented him from playing so he picked up the ukulele. He dropped out of college and went back packing through Europe with his brother and I believe some how along the way he created the band called Beirut. He writes all the music I believe but of course with the help of other musicians and unlike their first two albums their latest one was kind of a bust. But the first and second albums make up so big for the third one that I cant even be mad, cause they are an amazing band and Zach Condon is still a genius. This Beirut performing "Nantes" from the album The Fly Club Cup They're still one of my favorite bands out =]

Jerry correct me on any of the history shit haha.

p.s. If you can catch me and Jerry together and ask us to sing a Beirut song, we can do it easily. It just wont sound as good.
